At the end of March, Shun Oguri (小栗旬) will graduate from the radio program “All Night Nippon (オールナイトニッポン)” on which he has been working from 2007. On this, Arashi’s Jun Matsumoto (松本潤) announced suddenly: “If it is going to end, I’ll go.” and joined the live broadcast as a surprise guest. The two, who are good friends in private, had deep talk at night and showed an unspoken consensus with each other.
Their first encounter was at the shooting of “Gokusen (ごくせん)”. They talked about the first impression on each other and became good friends. Later, they costarred “Hana yori Dango (花より男子)” and spent the whole night in the hotel at Narita airport because of the tight schedule. “I went to Jun’s room. Really? In the hotel at Narita airport? Jun Matsumoto brought the whole volume of the comic of ‘Hana yori Dango’. And, he said ‘Shun, I think this scene is here. I want to read the whole comic, how do you think?’ So we talked about like ‘this man is doing this at this time…’ (laugh)” It seems they talked about the performance at the sleepless night and evidently hit it off with each other.
After the live broadcast, Oguri indicated that he wanted to do something in return for his guesting. And it is said that Oguri’s appearance on the drama “Smile (スマイル)” last year was a response to Matsumoto’s request as well. Actually, they are not only good friends, but also good working partners as well. Let’s look forward to their future collaboration.
