Idol group AKB48 will release their upcoming single Ponytail to Chouchou on May 26th.
AKB48 are known as one of the few up-and-coming idol groups who maintain both an active musical and theater career and have steadily gained popularity within Japan throughout their career. The group have also recently made their international debut following their performance in July 2009 at the Japan Expo held in Paris and in September with a concert at the Webster Hall in the US. The DVDs of both versions are expected to include the music videos for the title track and two other currently untitled songs.
