So Nyeo Shi Dae goes ‘all kill’ on major Asian music charts with song ‘Oh!’

‘Girlgroup So Nyeo Shi Dae dominates the major Asian music charts.

A SM Ent rep has revealed that the song ‘Oh!’ by So Nyeo Shi Dae is up #1 on various charts in various Asian countries like Thailand, Taiwan and the Philippines.

The song is off the girls’ 2nd full length album released on 9th March in Thailand and it is up on the local B2S TOP20 and GRAM ASIAN POP TOP10 album charts, and also #1 for the 3rd consecutive week on Thailand MTV International Chart, Channel [V] Countdown Asian Chart.

Also the album was released on 12th March in Taiwan is up dominated album sales charts like G-MUSIC, FIVE MUSIC and Kuang nan as well as radio music charts like hit fm, iradio and KISS radio. The song is up #1 on online music chart KKBOX weekly single chart until the 4th week of March.

In addition, the album which is released in the Philippines on 19th March is up doing very well on various album sales charts and music charts. This shows the great interests that Asian music fans have for the girls’ music.

Meanwhile, the girls are promoting the title song ‘Run Devil Run’ off their 2nd repackaged album.

Girlgroup debuts! Plus comeback by WonderGirls, f(x) and 4Minute in April~May

The domination of the girl groups as seen by So Nyeo Shi Dae, T-ara and KARA in February and March will continue. We recently see that After School is back with the new song ‘Bang!’, and Secret with song ‘Magic’ – much to the anticipation of fans.

In mid-April, we will be expecting a new album from SM Entertainment new girlgroup f(x). Later the month, we will also be seeing a new album from another girlgroup LPG.

And coming mid-May, we will also be seeing the comeback of girlgroups like WonderGirls and 4Minute. It is known that 4Minute is currently working on their new album with the aim of a comeback album in May. While the WonderGirls will also be having their comeback in Korea with new member HyeRim. They have been away for some time with their promotions in the States. It has been known that their new song and choreography is completed.

Apart from that, we will be seeing the debut of new groups.

In mid-April, group SISTAR will debut with Bang ShiHyuk as their producer. And in May, 9-member girlgroup 나인뮤지스 will debut. The group will consists of Lee HyunJoo who came in #1 during the 2007 Asia Pacific Super Model Contest.

Big Bang, 2AM, SNSD, KARA & Brown Eyed Girls to appear on ‘Haha Mong Show’

SBS new pilot variety show ‘HaHa Mong Show’ will see the participation from the idol groups.

It has been announced for the first episode filming of ‘Haha Mong Show’, idol stars like Big Bang, So Nyeo Shi Dae, KARA, 2AM, Brown Eyed Girls, SHINee and MBLAQ will be making appearance.

The in-charge PD of the show Lee JiWon said, “After hearing about the news of the new show by Haha and Mong, the idols have welcomed the idols and will show their support through appearance on the show.”

“With Haha and MC Mong’s outgoing personalities, and the idols’ positive participation, we are in for a young and enjoyable variety show.”

Other than the idols stars, gagwoman Kim ShinYoung will also be appearing on the show.

So Nyeo Shi Dae ‘Oh!’ doing strong on album sales chart “faster than ‘Gee’ minialbum did”

Girlgroup So Nyeo Shi Dae upcoming 2nd album ‘Oh!’ is dominating both music and album chart.

According to online album sales site Yes24, after the reservation sales for the album started on 21st January, the album has been gaining overwhelming interests and popularity. And on Yes24, 1100 albums were sold in just 10 hours after the reservation sales started on 21st January. They also set the record with hitting the #1 spot for album sales on consecutive days.

Yes24 multi-product team leader Kim GiJung said, “So Nyeo Shi Dae gets overwhelming responses for the ‘Oh!’ album reservation even before it is being released. As compared to their minialbum ‘Gee’, the sales are going up at a much higher rate. With the rich variety of songs included in the album and also the great level of quality and perfection achieved, we are expecting another round of So Nyeo Shi Dae craze in 2010.”
